The ocean has longed for me
she throws her arms upon the shore
searching , pleading a gentle roar -
Where's my tiny friend?
Ever loved and ever free -
she always was , will always be.
my cursing clock reminded me -
We're slaves to our design
I left today , nevermore
to march upon the souless streets
who mourn 'neath the lifeless feet
of suicidal hearts
I drift upon the sunny shore -
embracing now her searching arms
my heart leans into the warm
( : the warm ocean smile : )
Her soul washes over me
the sun washes over me
I am the ocean soul
I am timeless

Excellent as always. I personally have little love for the ocean but I can understand people's fascinatin with it. |

A very hypnotic, existential poem, this one. I share your yearning for this kind of peace and rhythm.

I have to admit, the title is what drew me here ..
an ageless piece doug. So ethereal and serene.
I adore the second stanza ..
soft and graceful flow of words. Wonderful thoughts ..

I, like the "breeze", was drawn by the title-
and found a work forged by way of
every subtle fantasy I've ever known and loved-
..the 3rd stanza is magnificent doug~
"I left today , nevermore
to march upon the souless streets
who mourn 'neath the lifeless feet
of suicidal hearts"
I don't often quote works.. but this passage is at the very least, worthy of a literal rendition!
It's great!! (and the work entirely~)
Truly..
