the dreaded monsters inside my head

Contributed by True on Thursday, 27th July 2006 @ 07:34:23 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Pointed tooth monster
your claw digging deeper
always seeming to find new blood
silver scaled beast
your shell all agleam
crunching and scraping inside my head
I must see you
the price of my vanity
I knew your cousin as well
he caused me so much pain
at times I couldn't even eat
and always he was there
always pulling
disfiguring my face
the price of the gift he gave
for in temporary disfigurement
he gave me permanent beauty
but now his brother haunts me
he will haunt me till my grave
what are these beasts of maniacal designs?
These are the wicked beasts of the dreaded dentist
the first is used in cleanings
his cousin is braces
and the brother of braces is a retainer

That was very cute. I'm not sure if that was how you were trying to come across but none the less I liked it. Very good write. Thank you for sharing.

I've been lucky enough to not yet need any
dental work but my mother is very afraid of the dentist. She gets crazy at the sound of a drill. Very interesting work. Truly ,

awesome awesome! Lol a funny subject to pick, and a very nice job. I already had an idea of what it was before the last four lines. So you do a good job pulling in a reader and making them think and imagine. Superbly done!
