I can't help feeling this way,
Blue eyes appear speckled grey,
The cracks of courage appear to show,
No-one remembers it was all to long ago.
Yesterday you smiled as tear began to fall,
We all claimed victory,
We all said we would be the first to have our backs against the wall,
She begged but showed a certain amount of grace,
With her finger the outline of his body she began to trace,
She felt his bones and pale soft skin,
She craved and coverted every inch of him.
