The Flame

My fiery passion for you has died down and flickered away to a tiny flame that merely remembers you as a childish, foolish mistake
Yet just one look into those eyes and you cause the flame to grow even bigger and stronger than it was before
Of all the heartache you've put me through
I still long for your soothing voice, your beautiful eyes, and your comforting arms
By now the flame should be extinguished, the lesson should be learned that you don't play with fire or you could get burned
But those eyes have caused thie flame to grow so the love has turned to longing, the longing to pain and the pain feeds the fire to want you more
