Moving On

Contributed by jerseysue on Wednesday, 26th July 2006 @ 01:29:12 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

A flower bud just unfolding,.
A fledgling birds first flight,
A chrysallis just opening,
From darkness in to light,

New beginnings, New horizons,
Unknown territory to explore,
Opportunities are awaiting,
When we go through lifes great door,

Our past will always be there,
Wether filled with happines or sorrow,
But we should not let it hold us back,
From the door of our tomorrows,

What lies beyond the door,
Is a pleasure to behold,
It is life as it should be,
A treasure filled with gold,

So I am walking through that door today,
Into the brightness, into the sun,
For my life will be back on track,
Once again living, I'm moving on

The past is better left there and it's your time to take the spotlight my dear friend. Shine on and enjoy life. Here's to new opportunities, new horizons and much brighter tomorrows.
Love, hugs n prayers,

I think I can appreciate why this means so much to you. Moving on is never as easy as some people might make it sound. It's terrifying really (initially, I mean). You've put a wonderfully positive light on the subject here - which I think is merited, but not always something we see early in the process (the view from the other side of that door isn't always so bright, you know?). It takes time to get "here", I think... and I applaud you for making it through.

Well done!

Beautiful, Sue, absolutely beautiful!!!!

And the third stanza?

I couldn't agree more.

Wonderful poem, and yes, very inspirational.
