Have you danced with Death yet?
Quit smoking in chains
stop biting your nails
go wash your pretty face,
don’t let others trace
sentiment in that catlike eyes.
Are you really so sinful as you seem?
Perhaps just elegantly wasted,
a bit fragile, a lot more grim,
darksome in manner
distinctive with a feminine air
headstrong in your death-wish way.
Is there anyone pale as you are?
Bloodless in that northern style,
like gloomy mood in verses you pen
Color stopped being your friend,
left you two things to remember her by:
essence of jade in shape of an eye.
What’s left when all make up is gone?
Even completely and utterly bared
you’re a man tempting to the bone
creative creature bizarre truly,
no paint can fully stage
intriguing magnetism of your range.
