Me

Contributed by Anna on Monday, 10th February 2003 @ 04:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Such a dissapointment
Not what they want at all
'Friends' have their saddened problems
I'm not the one they call

I cry to myself
It sickens me to know this
I have so much to show the world
Just a silly girl to dismiss

My feelings are worth something
I know this in my heart
I have to make a worthwhile me
I need a brand new start

I try to make things different
An alternated me
I try to change myself now
A better fate, New destiny

But I am who I am
No matter how off beat
There's no way to change your soul
An everlasting feat

I live in agony
Knowing what I'm not
I'm not the girl you wish I was
I'm not the girl you want

You have talent. I just wish you wouldn't take credit for that of other's. "This will make you cry..." You will be fine. I assure you things will work out. Best of luck to you.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
