Misting rain, but the sky is blue
It's a common storm that I hold true
Hobbling along as I walk
As I move I hear them talk
"He's the man with the disfigured face"
They study my walk, they watch my pace
My intention is not to harm anyone
But their burning stares are hot like sun
Anger, Anguish, Hatred, Suffering
Torchbearers, delicately blind
They want me dead, they want my mind
Torchbearers, but what am I?
Who am I? Where is my master?
I am like any rose, my petals can be torn
And as they tear my innards become worn
Do not blame me for how I look
It's what is written in the book
Blame my God, blame him twice
Do not bend to make this sacrifice
Aim your firearms to the sky
Be sure it is he who dies
Treat me like an alien, a foreign lifeform
I will grow pricks, bleed my thorns
Remember my corpse and how I died
Maybe this fairytale will teach you to survive
