Topic: drugabuse

watching the world fall down around you
thoughts make no sense, cant remember what you knew
speech impared and vision blurred
deep breath, close your eyes, and pray to be cured
open them again, but it wont go away
struggle to stay on the path, but still go astray
reach, grasping, for a helping hand
it gets to be pointless, falling everytime you stand
your minds a mess, but your body is worse
your biggest blessings become a terrible curse
you think itll pass, but it doesnt stop
youve hit rock bottom, fell from the very top
days become weeks, months, and then years
happy memories fade until all you know is tears
you begin to pray for some way out
to the point where you break with a crying shout
the way back is tedious, you might never get back
but where ever you get, itll cease the attack
you stop crying, learn to live, and to love
then finally do it, stand up and rise above
