Coloring colored chlorine dreams.

Contributed by iodinelove on Saturday, 22nd July 2006 @ 06:43:32 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Coloring colored chlorine dreams a dying daffodil in the sun; a burning brown and yellow flesh hanging off the temple of the sky; a bird passes by, reflected in the waters of her love, and she is shy, dragging her eyes to the floor, scattering her sigh in smiles by the door.
She was a brown-eyed black-eyed storm riding the edge of heaven; she was red-rimmed snot nosed sobbing on the phone; a trembling, sounding thunder shuddering thoughts into the floor.
A nicotine stain and fingers in between the cold, dead skin of the moon, maintain a certain grace, an effigy of me, she said, an outward momentum riding the edge of my face.
She laughed with that, laughed harder and longer than she had ever laughed before.

There is honesty to her, her bludgeoned laughter, her simmering despair.

In coloring her, coloring colored chlorine dreams, I begin to see the sun setting beneath murky waters, and I begin to understand that she is more than color, black and white; she is more than my analogies. She is more than the twist and flow that I try to present in my poetry; she is more than the memory, more than the chemistry of words coupled with words.
She is beauty up heaved, thrown in discourse, dragged down in mud and rain, slashed, vomited, spoken harsh of, laughed at, and remains beauty still.

It is not enough to write these things of her, nor is it in my power to fully invigorate the extent of her belonging, but it is enough to say that she belongs, and it is enough to say that she is loved.
