Mortal Challenge

Contributed by NoSaint on Friday, 21st July 2006 @ 08:48:50 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Fire flew from her eyes
Lighting up the night sky
His direction she looked
Now the man was hooked

She kindled a flame
He wanted to tame
This fiery vixen hot
But she turned, said “Not”

A God you are not
You are cold, I am hot
Laughter bellowed loud
I would be your death shroud

Puffing up to his full size
He looked her in the eyes
Mortal though I might be
I can take all of you, see

Once more she did scoff
And even gave a little cough
But the man did not relent
He would try until spent

Finally she did give in
Knowing this to be a sin
Goddess and mortal
Oblivion would be his portal

Gossamer gown she did loose
Holding up here is your noose
Silly man you know the end
In the abyss eternity you will spend

Touching her his heart grew
He set her on fire what to do
Banish him do could she?
Or find some way to set him free

For now she burned with desire
Her heart a funeral pyre
The laws were written in stone
But her love was for him alone

Mnus a bump or too this is very smooth flow here that delivers both the mortality and challenge.

Good Job
