I am a perfect doll
fragile and delicate
see my painted smile
every curve
every shape
every line
is crafted to perfection
but who loves a doll of glass?
They set me on a shelf
admire me for my beauty
put on display
but I'm never played with
never held by a loving child
I am not loved
only admired
no child tells me their secrets
or shows me their special place
they don't tell me I'm sick
then make me well again
for perfection has no ills
I cannot be taken down from my pedestal
lest i shatter
from the pleasant pressure
of love

And they stare at you with those eyes that are always open. They kinda scare me. ;-)
I like reading your work. You write with such finesse and creativity.
Thank you for a lovely read and get a set of Legos.
