So cold

Contributed by poetic_influence on Tuesday, 18th July 2006 @ 06:10:21 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

The days grow old
And so do I
My heart grows cold
As my face is drown in tears that will not dry
This pain is ruining me inside and out
Why won't it leave
It leaves me with hatred and doubt
24 hours a day I grieve
Over a life that I used to hold so dear
But now its a ghost
And of it I live in fear
The family I once knew that was so close
Now have abandoned me like I ment nothing at all
Never thought it would happen like this
Days upon days with no telephone call
I guess this is how it is
Once gone soon forgotten
Just didnt think it would happen to me
The door to my sanity is slowley locking
Goodbye family...I'll leave you be
Guess true colors are shown when least expected
Just wish they were not shown to me

Blood is supposed to be thicker than water, but sometimes we find out that we are not a part of that blood. It is a hard thing to find out that as long as we do what others expect us to do, we are ok. But when we reach our limit, and start to try and show that we are at our limit, others will start to show their true colors. And it's not always red like it should be. That is when the reality hits home, and to compensate for that hard slap in the face, we get hard ourselves to try and adjust for the impact. Nice job here of facing the true facts as you see them. And nice description, too. Good job. Thank you for sharing this. wrdz
