What tears are made of

Contributed by alison on Tuesday, 18th July 2006 @ 04:28:50 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Most say that tears are made of water,
That your eyes full with water and spill over.
That is not so,
The truth is tears are made from fallen stars.
Those who once shown bright above the world,
And who’s light nothing could compare.
The stars fall to earth and filled our eyes,
As the tears trickle down our face,
The stars light is once and last seen,
Nothing lasts forever.
Not even the stars above in their majesty.
Everyone walks away,
The memory of their light fades,
Just as a tear roles down the check,
Those that once were are no more,
Those that once loved are now liars,
All as the tear flows down the face,
Even the brightest light fades,
And the strongest love breaks.
Tears are made from fallen stars.
They shine their last,
As they fall as tears.

I read a bit of bitterness in this poem but remember there is someone out there for each one of us. The key is finding the soul that sets us free. Good luck to you my friend.....Mike

seems a little sadness in this poem, but overall a wonderful write... great use of words.
