Bethlehem's Bright Morning-Star

Contributed by Lilly-Quill on Tuesday, 18th July 2006 @ 04:37:43 AM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Christ, the Lamb, in radiance sits enthroned
The lively Image of His Father's grace alone
Lily of the Valley, oh Thou great flower of Love
Bright Morning Star over Bethlehem from above

Womb of the Morning, Righteousness healing wings
Bringing New Birth, the Way, His Peace, of Mercy to sing
Living springs of Water, spring-up ole well within my soul
All my doubts and wonderings, upon You Lord I now roll

Living Portal through which Life and meaning comes
Guide us mortals, Your Spirit led, with victory You’ve won
Past affliction's night so black to the New and Living Way
Umbrella of Bethlehem’s Star, of His Highest, to never stray

Whatever change, I humbly yield for Bethlehem’s stable grand
Just let Jacob’s open Heaven be active- over all my new land
Your cloud by day, and Fire by night, and be Thou my shield
I loose this earth’s mortal care~ with divine help I yield

Your faithful path has led the way, steadying my feet to trod
Bowed here at the Camel’s Gate each death conducts to God
Oh Sinner wake in sombre search, for Light- His Word, to see
Not greater day than that of repentance, to give rich victory

Raise your spirit from doubt and give Christ the King a chance
You seek for love in cells of one's captured by Death’s romance
His Living Blood of Calvary is the key to life, abundantly new
Be washed in the Blood, free of guilt; receive His Guide for you

Leave your folly and cease from justifying your hidden crimes
No greater Father is there to console, revealing Himself in time
Behold the Morning-Star arise, His path doeth lead to PEACE
Sun of my soul, redeeming-story, how great is assured release
