When I sit all perfectly still
Wondering if I'm in God's will,
I think of all the times
When His will I did not find;
Then I think of all the ways
That my failures can be praised;
And before too long in despair
I find myself wholly there.

But when I'm busy
And a' doin'
All the things
That I'm knowin', Hi lights a' shinin',
His word's a' showin'
The very way
I should be goin'.
