The Forgotten

Contributed by JBH on Monday, 17th July 2006 @ 02:09:03 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I hate you… one soul is nothing more than lies. I can feel the pain, taste the regret, see the darkness in my eyes.

I don’t want your pity, I’m used to being alone… I know what it feels like to fade and lose your home

God… free me from these lies… remove the shackles of my soul, give me purpose, make me whole

Show me love amidst the cold, light a candle to brighten the abyss… a dark so true as to steal our final kiss

Wash away the writing on this stone, break the chains and open the cage, free the prisoner, feel his rage

Break his bones and crush his heart, forget his life and let his dust settle in the dark

Forgive me God…. I cant fight… I’m empty… I’ve lost all of my light

Show me mercy… end this pain… I love you… But I’ve forgotten my name.

JBH,

A heartfelt piece well written

Anguish and self struggle leap out to the reader.

Keep your faith, Continue to pray BUT leave the prayer with the lord.

The Lord has NOT forgotten your name

He will answer prayer but he gives us what we NEED not always what we WANT

May The Lord Bless you.

Peace

hug from Doug.
