You love me, and I love you,
let's have sex,
there's nothing better to do.
You hate me and I hate you,
let's wage war,
there's nothing better to do.
The sky is falling down on me,
the ground is rising,
destroyed by our stupidity,
the Earth crumbles,
from a thousand explosions,
nuclear war,
has caused the Earth's diffusion,
the sounds echo,
the last evidence of life here,
hate and anger,
caused war and death to persevere,
our emotions,
they were our greatest weakness,
and without them,
life would be complete bleakness,
genetic code,
had this destiny written.
Humans were looking everywhere,
for jeopardy,
poison, viruses, aliens,
when all along,
the bad guys that they searched for,
were themselves.

Interesting
I like the ending
As is it came as a shock that was nice.
And your word play is great. |

Most excellent diatribe against the selfish gene. Competently structured, well rhymed, nice cadence, and a personal as well as a global perspective makes this my favourite of the night. Indeed, what put us on top of the hill will be our undoing.
