Tear stained were her eyes as she stood
in the eve of twilight
watching the stars in the night fade
Lonely was her heart
Such a travesty
All aching and empty
How her empty arms
Longed
Just to hold him
one more time.
Her shoulders trembled
And shook
As she fought to catch
Each breath
Tears flowing like a river
Blinding her eyes
Holding that crumbled letter
Written so long ago
The words are just words
And forever will be
Just That.
A Heart broken
Nary
Given A Chance to forget
A Love thats left you shaken.

Perhaps the root of this piece also touches upon a universal impersonal truth of ache, pain and loss and in turn why humans cultivate certain herbs & brews to help us forget.
Perhaps why even natural strategies were favored for plants to develop exotic chemicals as a means to propagate by useful cooperation in the animal kingdom to overcome such hurts...
Well Done
Peace
