I wrote a poem about my sorrow,
I wrote a poem about my pain,
I wrote a poem about the sadness,
The day I stood in the rain.
I wrote a poem about my days,
I wrote a poem about insane,
I wrote a poem about life ending,
that will never be the same.
Then the Lord took my hand,
He led me to His promise land,
He told me things, I now understand,
PRAISE GOD.. AMAN...
Now my life is fulfilled,
Now my life is a new,
Because there is nothing in the whole wide world,
That God wouldn't do.
He loves me just the way I am,
No matter what I say or do,
The Lord is there for me twenty four seven.
Because He knows what the devil can do.
He saw my many tears,
He saw my pain today,
Then He made a plan,
He took it all away.
He sent angels around me,
He told them to watch over me,
He said bring her joy within,
Tell her, she will be with me for eternity.
So they came down on earth,
They fed me with some love,
They poured joy over my head,
It all came from above,
They took me into the masters arms,
Then layed me at His feet,
They told me without Him.
My life would not be complete.
So I asked for forgiveness,
I said Lord, make a way,
He heard my prayer,
He washed my sins away.
Rough times may come my way,
There will be times when I will feel blue,
But I know who will hold my hand,
The one that will hold yours to.

Good structure and easy rhyme.
I am glad you were able to find peace in something. May you continue to seek refuge in it and may it continue to provide you what you need to go on.
