My heart is light with wonder
As I hear the angels sing
Filled with joy and laughter
And all that my Creator brings
As I cross the threshold
To the other side
All those that went before
To their side I glide
No sorrow, have I now
As fields and streams abound
Light is my soul
When I look around
All faces wear smiles
Filled with radiance
Everyone here is singing
Most almost seem to dance
My very spirit is blue
When I am told
Back to earth I must go
I say I won’t leave, very bold
But back I am sent
I wake feeling depressed
For I walked Heaven’s shore
And was held to God’s breast
This world seems strange
I look forward to going home
But while I am here
I will help others, where I roam
