LoveRemembered

When I talk with you,
A part of me dies a little bit
I am still in love with you
You’ve touched me in ways I won’t forget
The ghost of your love sits in my heart
Too comfortable to leave
My own heart is now not to be trusted
It's the source of my grief
It refuses to let go of what we had
Maybe it’s what's in the stars
We don’t know what the future holds
Still it hurts to reopen the scars
Our love was great
And full of care
It still burns bright
Though I doubt you can see it from there
Because to help you grieve
I hold all this inside
Because it would hurt you to know
About all the nights I’ve cried.
