Breaking Away

Contributed by Ruby2sdy on Monday, 10th July 2006 @ 01:26:05 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I’m pulling my hair out, climbing the walls,
Avoiding the subject, diverting your calls,
Ignoring your words of whispered despair,
Shunning your eyes, pretending that I don’t care,
I’m aching inside, it hurts me too,
Why is everything all about you?
I’m fed up of the shouting, always having to scream,
This wouldn’t have happened in your wildest dreams,
I’m leaving you; you’re not in control,
Where you once kept my love, you now have a hole,
I’m walking away, suitcases packed,
I’ll find someone with all that you lacked,
Someone who’ll love me, give me all I desire,
Keep my heart alight, and my soul on fire,
So don’t bother crying, don’t pick up the phone,
Don’t beg me to love you, or to come home,
This time it’s for real, my thoughts are clear,
I won’t let you touch me, or hold me near,
You won’t worm you way back into my heart,
For now is the time, we two shall part.

A most compelling look into the eyes and heart of love, yet with out the soul what is love but an unanswered question. one must find it in one self or there's never realy any conclusion. each tree bears a diferent tasting fruit and so the quest goes on endlessly for what never was there to begin with till eventually one tires of eating all together. a most emotionaly revealing write.
keep up the good work.

*sigh* Yep.

I fear many, if not ALL of us can relate to a painful revelation or two, such as this...Sometimes it's just better to part though...Hope things get better; thanks for sharing.

Excellent conveyance of emotion.

I agree with scorpy ... far too many can relate..

but

I feel it's from these troubling times that we find the
MOST strength and are able to move on, allowing
us to find the happiness we all so richly deserve.

Great write!
