You said, through tears of tepid desperation,
That all the fears I felt were in my head.
I cried, pure tears of final perspiration,
You left me slowing drowning in our bed.
I saw, a shuffle and a hidden glance,
The stance that you intended me to see.
I felt, a rope aphixiating me,
You never, ever really let me breathe.
Stone cold, you're staring out the window pane,
A car park's such a thrilling place to be.
Drink up, you're soaking up the sorrow,
Tomorrow's just a joke you'll never see.
Nightfall, through primary coloured disco beams,
Repeating sorry actions from before.
Grey dawn, Wipes away forgotten dreams.
My heart is cured but yours will break some more.
