Call this poem whatever you want

Contributed by Millennium on Monday, 10th July 2006 @ 12:25:22 AM in AEST
Topic: secrets

There’s a secret that I’ve never told
And never planned to tell,
But while you’re here, and listening,
Hey, what the hell?

I often wonder what’s to come.
I wonder what will be,
When everything is broken
But the soft (but stubborn) sea?

Won’t you tell me why I’m here?
Why I walk this land?
Will my soul be damned to hell,
Or something yet unplanned?

Am I but a bottle,
Adrift that stubborn lake?
My heart, just a blank scroll,
Unable to break?

I want to be something more!
But, hey, don’t we all?
What makes me so special?
What'll be my downfall?

Well, there you have it.
Do you think the same way?
Or will I stand alone on this stump
While (you and) others walk away?

On this planet , the purpose unknown,
We are but together, and never alone.

This is an interesting poem, yes none of us really know why we are here, we all have the questions. Enjoyable read. Sue x

Mille, You are quite literally the most ludacrous person ever.

You're alwasy on and on about how you wish you could write better, but here, i think, is your best work, and some of the best work i've seen.

You spesak volujes in this poem, with your unadulterated philosphy. The questions you bring about are sad and thoughtful, and you quite literally have a masterpiece here.

"I often wonder what’s to come.
I wonder what will be,
When everything is broken
But the soft (but stubborn) sea?"

I wont venture in to explain this verse, only to say it my favorite, and the best of the poem.

Great writte. Cant wait to see ya.

xXx
