Fallen Timbers
In sorry forests
Friends with benefits
Encased in glass
Outside the walls
Dead horses inspire the soul
Gentle waters
Require care
Hand pulled
Over the nasty piece of work
Smug with silly dust
The vision is real
Dominate man made lakes
Plastic mice feast on golden fish
Arches from the high walls
No easy business, no funny tongues
Built buckets
Collecting drops of sun
A serious flaw
The protégé has become ambitious
Miles from abnormality
Is a guarantee of the eventuality
Wire chords wrap the wrists
Hanging upside down

Well, this is nothing if not abstract!
The descriptive wording may be quite vague, but I suspect the meaning is not. There is an air of hopelessness here, and perhaps some sort of resentment of truths, or maybe more specifically half truths...The title suggests a struggle in futility. I like the pondering effect this piece leaves.
