An Apology

Contributed by Ruby2sdy on Friday, 7th July 2006 @ 01:56:31 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

It痴 simple, he says, watching me cry,
I知 leaving, right now, this is goodbye,
Sorrow and heartache, both know me so well,
And the lump in my throat is starting to swell,
I知 sorry, for falling so deep into your arms,
When the heart that once healed, suddenly harms,
I知 sorry I loved you, I知 sorry you lied,
I知 sorry I need you, but I知 not sorry we tried,
I知 thankful, joyful, and happy; it痴 true,
Happy for those precious moments, that I spent, with you.

Its sad when its over , there is no doubt,
But its also good to let your feelings out,
Not self pity, just cleansing your soul,
To repair your heart and make you feel whole,

Not wallowing, it makes for enjoyable reading, for we all can identify with it. Thanks for sharing it with us. Sue x

I don't think it's self pity as much as it is life!

Then again, perhaps I'd look at it just that way if I went through this with my husband. I can see that being the way i feel if he ever left or told me flat out to just kiss his a!! because sorrow and heartache do know me well.

I LOVE YOUR WRITING!

Joanna

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ツゥ
