As Night Fades to Dawn

Contributed by NoSaint on Friday, 7th July 2006 @ 07:18:27 AM in AEST
Topic: abstract

By the lake she walks
As night fades to dawn
Into her world many
Are hopelessly drawn

Terror grips their soul
Nightmare or reality
No one is the same
Look in her eyes to see

She mirrors the worst
Of our hidden being
The truth lies raw
But it is worth seeing

The beast within us all
For our demons we must face
To move forward
They must be put in place

Then her lips sing a song
Of whom we truly are
And we find ourselves
To really be a shining star

Truth is she helps us let go
Of that which we must
To grow spiritually
In ourselves we must trust

This I feel is not abstract , but reality. We all have fears within us, and you have just shown them in written form. And we all need to realise we all have good in us too. A truly inspiring poem. Sue x
