If Death Had A Face, It'd Be Yours

In darkness and deception
Is the destruction of my trust
For I thought it to be a must
That we be together
But I quickly found
You wanted me bound
By the shadows you cast
And the ghosts from your past
It has begun to suffocate me
Knowing that all the memories
Of you won’t let me be
I sit with a burning heart
And destroyed trust
I should’ve known from the start
That you would tear me apart
But I threw everything away
Just so you would stay
Yet I only delayed the inevitable
For now you’re gone
And instead of waiting for a new dawn
I sit waiting
Till I can no longer breathe
