Shany's Light

Contributed by NoSaint on Wednesday, 5th July 2006 @ 02:40:13 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

In the forest
Just south of town
She lives in cottage small
Many stop around
On this lovely lady they call

She has wisdom
Beyond this sphere
Her friends roam the other side
They give her messages for here
Like when is safest to ride

Others ask
Who they will wed
Or how many children they will bare
Some wish to ask of the dead
How things are over there

She never
Married though lovely
Men were scared she could see
Just how truly ugly
Their inner souls be

She wished
She could find romance
And be able to sing
And with her lover dance
And accept his ring

But time
Did not bring a knight
Who would make her heart race
But she still shared her light
With much style and grace

Shari,

I really enjoyed this one, so much uplifting and shining light within it. Touched with the heart of a woman who shines brightly all the time.
