Cat on the Pillar

The saint started the discourse for the day
His disciples were listening him with gay
A cat started roaming in front, to the dismay
Saint continued, but his disciples can`t stay
The saint told to tie the cat to the mainstay
Not one day, it became the routine everyday
It’s the turn for the senior to take saint`s way
But tying the cat to the pillar was not put away
Now the cat`s no more, but they had one more
Likewise our prayers have become a rumor
Not taking to the sense, words only we utter
And for religious chaos this became the matter
Laborers at a temple, were queried by a saint
“I am carrying bricks”, first one told in faint
“I am earning income”, was another`s acquaint
“I am building a shrine”, was another`s point
Understand, and involve yourself in prayers
Divinity comes only from your inner layers
You need not utter divine mantras in chorus
Even recite god`s name alone, but with focus
