Forget Me

Contributed by Ruby2sdy on Monday, 3rd July 2006 @ 11:10:27 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Forget me. Please, just do not remember,
The first time we kissed, one snowy December.
Forget the red of my lipstick, and the perfume that I wore,
And the way that we drank warm champagne, left over from the night before.
Forget the dress I was wearing, and the way I had my hair,
And the hotel room we were sharing, forget we were ever there,
Forget the stars of the night-time, and the dawning of the day,
Forget that the words came so easily, that we just knew what to say,
I can't forget you, though it hurts to remember,
That first time we kissed, one snowy December,
I remember your smile with each sip of champagne,
But most of all, I remember the pain.

That was one of the most beautiful and heart-felt poems I have ever read.Simple and sweet.

Awww.

Sometimes the self explainatory ones are my faves. This is good. It really does just say what you want it to say.

I like the repetition, too.

Sad write.

*hugs*

Amazing poem, I know mostly anyone can relate to this poem. It may be easier to forget but to forgive takes a little more work and time. Your not alone,
keep on writing.

Best wishes,
~*Eve*~

I wished it was so easy to move on and forget, but it's not. Such pain and sadness fill the page. You've done a fine job with this write. I just wished it was a happy ending~
Wishing u the best of luck~
warm hugs,
sue m
