It was the most beautiful thing I had known
For my flower had the most radiant petals-
Any color you wish.
And oh, the best aroma of them all-
Sweeter than any rose.
But my flower was picked before its time,
And it was trampled on in the process.
The innocence of childhood lost forever.

I love this poem,
It makes you wonder about the past,
you know have those good and bad flashbacks when you were 5 years old.
I like it, post more poetry to read. :)

Awww Kara...this is such a beautifully written piece... Tragic if I read it right...and I'm sorry. But it is so well done... I can feel your pain.. Hope all is well with you.

Flower here stands for the little heart which blossomed to shine on earth..It feels it is trampled by the society..and it bleeds ..but it has not lost its spirit .. the spirit is alive and the flower is alive. no human foot can touch the spirit.. It is a flower that can re-appear at the rise of the Dawn.. venkat |
