SEARCHING

Whats in store for me,in this life,
I am a mum and been a wife,
hurting myself, every one to see,
trying to hard to reconstruct me,

where is the girl I used to be,
somewhere trapped inside of me,
crying and sad full of pain,
looking for ways to come back again,

I need to nurture the little girl,
who used to love life, and never dwell,
on all the things in the past,
that made her life so overcast,

who had so much to look forward to,
could not wait till she grew,
spent her life wistful and dreaming,
who suddenly woke, crying and screaming,

Tried so hard to be good,
do all the things that she should,
along the way it all went wrong,
for happiness she does long.

Why do some people cause so much pain,
attack you again and again,
never happy with their lot,
more concerned with what youv'e got..

I just wish I could be free,
find the girl I used to be,
she is some where in my head,
my biggest fear is, she is dead...

That girl is still their,
At the back of your mind,
Look hard enough ,
And her you will find,
I can help you,
I've been there too,
We will work as a team,
Thats what we'll do.

Very emotional words, understand them very well. Its a beautiful poem , but full of sadness, its time now to face happiness, like I intend to. And we can do it. take care. Sue xx

could not wait till she grew,
spent her life wistful and dreaming,
who suddenly woke, crying and screaming, ---wow! i loved this poem! I can completely relate with the feelings of these lines... waking up and realizing this is what i wanted...

Great poem from beginning to end.
Hope you can find yourself again, and Im pretty sure that part of you is not dead, you just need to wake her up from her long lost dream, dont lose hope.

Best wishes,
~*Eve*~

life will find us ALL jaded at some point..
but it's how we live henceforth.. that matters-
trials and tribulations make us stronger, if they don't kill us ..lol

I might try heeding my OWN advice~

fine work-

B.

LillyJane~
I'm so sorry you feel like this. Search deep within you, do not fear. That girl u search for is still there she just needs your help. We go through alot of down days in our lives and sometimes we feel that we just can't take it no more. There is still hope my friend. You have it within you. Strength and courage run deep. Chin up LillyJane and may ur days ahead be much brighter.
big heartfelt hugs for u,

I think you remember her far to well for her to be dead now. Some people can't even remember what they thought when they were children, they are so far removed but Lillyjane this poem shows she is not far away at all. You are her and she is you and you don't need to search because it's evident that she is with you. A very good write.

Oh wow! I relate entirely to this and to the comments of
the fine poets here as well.

lily, she's still there, hun. And when she is ready, (and feels safe
enough to do so), she'll rise again. Our strength comes from all the
adversity life throws at us and MAKES us somehow get through.
I believe it's in the coping of these things that releases our
inner strength.

Great write. Well penned indeed!!
