As Love and Death Collide

Contributed by Lucid_Tides on Thursday, 29th June 2006 @ 06:42:36 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Tonight I opened my eyes
What have I done?
Shining silver gouged in my heart
I didn't mean to hurt anyone
Solace is my home
As I deal with the discomfort
Of blood stained hands
I killed myself tonight
Misfortune embraced my prosperity
She's so cold, look what I've done
Frigid body.. the only one left to cry
A lament for sombre eyes
A Heart-rending weep
That took life away from me
Tonight I died
Within the cross swords
Of Love and Death
Her eyes on the ensign
Of the Shrine on their flag
Still crying for me
Her eyes still burn the flames of passion
As we exalt above the warfare
And escape this life of carnage
But pain is brought back by the words that were cried
Tears stream down the faces of the beloved
Vitalic wounds reopen for those who died
Still sad struck and weeping
As love and death collide

Lucid~
A deep, dark and powerful write.
The brilliance of such poetry comes from a very talented poet who has displayed such outstanding masterpieces from the time he hit YPDC. Well done my friend.
warm hugs,

This was such a tragic poem and done so beautifully. It was so easy to feel.
