Left With A Stain

LostLove
|
The pain of rejection that tears at my heart,
leaving me weak and worn.
Like a dove all alone that’s lost his mate,
forever he shall mourn.
Traces of love still cling to my soul,
longing to be renewed.
I reach for love but only to find,
a dream that I have viewed.
From the depths of my heart I cry for love,
only echo’s in return.
I lie in bed on pillows stained,
within my heart does burn.
I walk along a wind swept shore,
and hear the seabirds cry.
The waves crash in to the sandy beach,
my heart is asking why.
I gave my love, I gave it all,
returned by only pain.
The window of my heart was clear,
it’s now all left with stain.
The day is gone and night has come,
but this I surely know.
The sun will rise, a new day dawns,
and love again will grow.

Lovely poem,
and your right "love again will grow"
just need for time to run its course. |
