Tears rest behind my empty eyes, like me they will never be released,
The hopes and dreams I once possessed are going, gone, deceased.
Perfectly sculpted arms hold my darling tight,
Protecting him from a cold and dreaded night.
He gazes into my forever- smiling face and I beg my still heart to race,
And our chiselled bodies to finely close the space.

A brilliant poem Maestar, there is a statue like this one outside a shopping centre in Kent and you can't help wondering about the stillness of the stone people staring at each other endlessly. Whatever inspired you to write about this poor sculpture! Genius! |
