Duke Morley spoke with Marcus late next day
to find out knight’s last learnings he doth keep.
Sir Standish Wheelock names the date when they
in concert play deceitful game all deep.
When Laurence leaves for grail and people weep,
lords scheme to place Prince James as sovereign grace.
All feel a better ruler throne shall reap,
and Laurence taken, knights will find non trace.
His capture certain by a Saracenic mace.
Lord Marmaduke is villain by king’s side.
In battle he will fail and leave the field.
Much better me thinks liege if he had died
than play the scene with bright deceiving shield.
All glory be to Sire as he must yield
to numbers greater seen than shining lights
in sky’s black sphere that He himself hath sealed.
Prince James will claim successive brother rights
supported by a league of sycophantic knights.

An excellent story penned with a most unique rhyming pattern. I liked the old world style very much .
Very well done
