Tears stream like a river

Contributed by Whisper on Wednesday, 28th June 2006 @ 03:30:04 PM in AEST
Topic: Event

Tear stained were her eyes as she stood
in the eve of twilight
watching the stars in the night fade

Lonely was her heart
Such a travesty
All aching and empty

How her empty arms
Longed
Just to hold him
one more time.

Her shoulders trembled
And shook
As she fought to catch
Each breath she took

Tears flowing like a river
Blinding her eyes
Holding that crumbled letter
Written so long ago

The words are just words
And forever will be
Just
That.

A Heart broken
Nary
A Chance to forget

A Love thats left you shaken.

Whisper

This is a really great poem, it's very deep. Reading this kind of makes me feel sad, like losing someone you love, but the ending kind of seems positive to me in a way. It leaves you shaken but you could overcome it. It's what I get out of it.

Take care.

Scott
