When you've known someone a while
You give them your trust
But now I've learned my lesson
Being careful's a must
For I'd known him fifteen years
I thought he was alright
Until it got cold and dark
On a thick and stormy night
I was with my cousin
Who was so close to me
And the next thing I knew
I was down on my knees
Staring at my cousin's body
Wondering why
My best friend would kill him
That dark and stormy night.

This poem has a much darker theme then let on. And it disturbs me. But, most things do. |
