Oh Violin

Contributed by Gentlemanpoet on Tuesday, 27th June 2006 @ 12:45:26 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The music plays by candle light,
its whispers make me cry.
Sweet soft sounds waft through the air,
and make my poor heart sigh.
Oh violin your strings caressed
and touched with the masters hand.
Your serenade it speaks to me,
from heavens golden strand.
Like winds that whisper through the woods,
the trees all seem to sing.
With tenderness my soul is touched,
with love from gifted string.
Like a waltz the bow it glides,
its sounds that seem to weep.
They play my heart with romance,
each cord they seem to sweep.
Please take flight oh violin,
and play your lovers songs.
And bring her back to my arms,
here where she belongs.

Oh *sigh*

I'm a hard core country gal and you have me swooning at my keyboard! I think I could read your poems all day long..............

Thank you so much for sharing your work.

Your soothing words made me take a deep breath, pause for a moment, and simply say .."Wow, I felt that." Very calming....and yes, gentle.

Way to make the violin tie in with a former love. It adds on to the mystery and beauty of the violin.
