My brothers lose limbs, sometimes their life.
Why is it, that we make this sacrifice?
Is it the glory, the money, the thrill?
Is it to learn a new, important skill?
It's none of the above. It's solely for love.
Love of my Family, my Country, my Home.
Thinking of them, I'm not so alone.
On the outside a soldier is stone.
Strong, proud, and brave, right down to the bone.
Though feelings are present, they're buried inside.
Distractions are costly. I've no want to die.
So here I sit, in this country of.
And to be quite frank, I'm tired of it.
And what do we get, for all this grief?
We have become, the Iraqi Police...

That was a brilliant write, and it's scary to hear what goes on with all of you who go to Iraq for our country. Peace be with you. |
