It took a long time to find it,
But I’ve seen the reflection of my soul,
Within the eyes of another,
The other half that makes me whole,
Protecting me from harm,
Perfection lies in your embrace,
Precious moments spent with you,
Memories I will not erase,
I know that I can be stubborn,
And mostly set in my ways,
But I only wish to be closer,
With the passing of the days,
And love is when I’m with you,
Though hours seem to pass by,
No one can ever stop us,
Destiny is written in the sky,
When you look at me sometimes,
It makes me turn my head in shame,
For the hurt I’ve ever caused you,
I completely take the blame,
Maybe one day I’ll learn my lesson,
And one day I’ll be complete,
I’m heading in the right direction,
And admit my past’s defeat,
I never believed it possible,
But to me it’s no surprise,
I’ve seen heaven here on earth,
And I saw it in your eyes.
