The sadness of a bleak world piles itself upon you
Lonelyness and heartache and anger flood your heart
You feel like letting go
Like ending the pain, like ending it all
But you have to hang on
You have to move on
Sadness will try to hurt you
Grief will try to finish you
Just hang on and you will see
That with every end, an new beginning is born
The lotus flower blooms in the mud
Blossom my flower
Hang on to those around you
When it seems like hell is out to get you
Hang on to your son
Remember those around you
Those that need you
Those that love you
Don't let the pain get to you
Don't let the hurt drive you blind
Just hang on

You did a great job with this write and I'm so sorry for the loss.
Both my parents are deceased so I know how it feels.
huggs, prayer,

I know how it feels. My younger brother was murdered a year ago. He was only 24.
I never got to say goodbye... But the wounds do heal. I know he's in a better place watching over me.
Very nice poem!
