Too Much, So Little

Contributed by EddieDean on Monday, 26th June 2006 @ 03:55:01 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I have too much on my plate,
I have so much to do,
So many things that need me.

But my Body is getting Sore,
But my Mind is getting Tired,
But my Soul is getting Cold.

So little time for me,
So little time for my family,
Even less for my friends.

Sometimes,
It's just too much for me to bear,
I just want to sit down and just end it all.
Other times I just sit down and start drinking,
Drowning my sorrow away in alcohol,
Easing the pain that is my life.

I need to relax,
I need to get away,
But I can't,
Not yet.

So I look deep inside and find the strength inside,
I find that strength and pull it up,
So I can continue on.

I will fight my addiction,
I will keep going,
I will make my life worth living.

For my friends back me up,
My family loves me,
And I have someone to turn to.
She is my hope,
She is my light.

Suddenly,
I realize,
Life's not that bad anymore.
Sure it's not easy street,
But it's my life,
And I wouldn't change it for the World.

Good poem,
You finally got over the depressing point in your life. Life's only bad if you think it's bad.
