You've gone and broke my heart,
I didnt think it could break anymore.
But once again, I was wrong,
And my tears hit the floor.
You tell me soon we'll be together,
Well, I dont know how much more I can take.
How many times are you gonna come back,
How much more are you gonna make me ache?
I keep taking you back,
Thinking you're sorry and true.
to my surprise, you leave again,
That's it, we're through.
Who am I kidding?
Of course I'll take you back.
Just like a drug addict,
Never leaves her crack.
Was I so bad to you,
Did I really treat you that wrong?
Please tell me why,
Why you've up and gone.
It hurts to talk and see you everyday,
When you're not mine to keep.
My days are slow and painful,
And at night, I can barely sleep.
One moment I'm all you want,
Then one moment you dont want me at all.
Tell me why time and time again,
You lift me up, then watch me fall.
You've got me hooked,
I cant get enough of you.
But you just dont want me,
And I dont kno what to do.
I stay dangling from your puppet strings,
Hoping I'll be what you want me to be.
I promise I can be anything,
Anything you want, wait and see.
You come and go as you please,
And you break me everytime.
It kills me to remember,
At one time, you were mine.
I hate waiting for your call,
I hate waiting for your truck in the drive.
But its at your conveince,
That you come and arrive.
You cant play with my life,
My heart's not a game.
I'm not an animal in the zoo,
I'm not meant to be tame.
I've spilt so many tears,
I've wasted too many sleepless nights.
Time and time again you tell me,
Everything will be alright.
No, no it wont be ok,
My heart's a mess and you dont care.
Dont even tell me you love me,
Dont you ***** dare.
I dont wanna hear your lies,
Cant you tell me something true?
I'm so sick and tired,
Of crying over you.
You're such a disappointment,
You let me down day after day.
It's such a sad thing,
You have to be that way.
What happened to my knight in shining armor,
Where's the man who made me smile?
It's not like him to hurt me,
It's just not his style.
You're supposed to protect me,
Well, I need protecting from you.
How can you hurt the one who loves you,
Why are you being so cruel?
I would've given the world for you,
But you just couldnt see.
The one who'd give her all,
All along was me.
We planned a life together,
You said I was your best friend.
Well, if that's true,
Why'd you make us end?
I'll never understand,
Time and time again you come and go.
My heart breaks because of you everyday,
I just want you to know.

This is very sad but well written.
He will do this as long as you let him.
From experience I know how it feels but I also know what my freedom feels like and I'll take my freedom over abuse from someone elses insecurities.
You gotta realize he's doing this for his own personal reason. You are not at fault or to blame.

| this is rlly long, but that's wat makes it great; there's a ton of emotions in here, and it's all written well; guy sounds kinda like a dirtbag, but of course i can't judge thru just a poem, good luck and God bless |
