Darling Jealousy, why choose me?

Contributed by Vampire_Slander on Sunday, 25th June 2006 @ 08:12:54 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

Oh my darling friend jealousy, why do you strike me?
Why do you turn those who I trust against me?
How could you loathe me so much?
And why do I like this?

I am delusional with my compassion.
I see only the state before me.
My minds eye remains blind in all this.
My decisions are made clearly by me.

Who wishes to argue my feelings?
Who deems themselves wise enough to take a stand?
Tell me who I am!
How I love their dares, how I love their spite.

This ugly emotion crosses its eyes and screams.
A piercing echo only heard by my ears.
A ravenous despise eating me away.
And why am I to blame?

So this is my shout back.
This is my one way to defend myself against slanderous tongues.
Can you look me in the eye now? Can you judge me?
I thought so my cruel friend.

Friendship is compromised by your greedy thoughts.
And in the end we are both forsaken.
How is this fair? Why do I bother?
Please tell me my dear jealousy.

if only we could choose our emotions...
I can often relate to this costly disposition, often overwhelming...and just as you have put it "My minds eye remains blind in all this. "

Overall an interesting personification of emotions.

Well done.
