You'll linger on in misery

Contributed by holderofthestone on Saturday, 24th June 2006 @ 02:26:54 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

You are a leech
You latch on to others
And suck them down with you
You take and take and take…
Offering nothing in return
Just the scar where you came along
And took everything …

You fear the loneliness
Of spending time alone
Or taking the time to think…
You grab out for anything
And grab on to anyone
Because you know that
You can’t make it on your own…
You’re weak and frail
And have no power
You sneak through and deceive…
Knowing that’s the only way you can …

You offer nothing to the masses
The little ray of light you shine
Is drown out by the misery surrounding you
The darkness you bring
And the sadness you bare
Topple over you as you crumble
And drag those down beside you
Who were there to help you up…

You’ll linger on in misery
And drag sorrow along for life
Because you will never see
What you do…
To busy running and taking
Setting yourself up
Making it ok for you…
As you ruin life’s around you…

Remember those that gave to you
And asked so little in return
You took it all and left nothing
So greedily you scavenge…
Looking for the next…
Unconcerned with the last victim
You move on to better things
And simply walk away…

BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO!
STUNNING!!! And so true for the people that surround us today.
For they are "Lover's of Themselves" and "Lover's of Money" The love of the greater number have faded away!
I'm glad you're angry, and that you have a way to vent it. Start worrying when you can no longer feel anger, love or otherwise.......then you've joined them. How tragic!
Great write
Warm love
consue

Some people use others and it hurts when you realize thats what they have been doing , thats because you could never do that those sort of people do not have a conscience thats how they can act that way... Brilliant poem xx
