Lady Killer

Contributed by Man_On_High on Friday, 23rd June 2006 @ 11:34:38 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Where do your thoughts lie tonight my closest bard
upon the sea under the stars
while chatting up the vernal flesh
bedazzling with slight of hand
lacing promises with that liquorice tongue of yours
meddling many moments under electric light
mollies and lassies blooming
where testosterone flows as easy as the very sea?

Do you perchance sit and swallow
with fanatic full-lipped newbies
plotting their come-uppance days before
your full-moon June face as stoic as ever?

Still persecuted by formidable life and dreams thereafter
and in your sensuous siestas you might sometimes
catch a slap of lurid wave the turgid bellows of disdain..
far and deep within the barnacle-thick and painted hull.

Do you sometimes hear the far screech of Century street
the beloved far away fables, belting your ears and mind?

You're not missing much
so says a better purpose and common sense
before it gets you tangled in it's tentacles again.

My prayers are thick at home tonight
and there's another unsounded thought I'm sure-
after the next pint.

Billy

A ribold poetic tale truly bostonian, and cobblestone alley ways, with a flickering street lamp and a tankard of ale put's a finishing touch on this masterpeice. very
vivid in it's brown stone and rainy night
quality. a lovely write my new england bro.

hey bro...i wish i had read this sooner...haven't been on much in a few days.

wow, this was an awesome write!! and, as you undoubtedly know, it strikes a particularly emotional chord for me, but all of that aside, i loved this completely, truly a poetic work of art!

the way your pen moves so selflessly is such an inspiring attribute...i am very impressed, not only of your amazing talent, but by the size (and quality) of your heart..

i cant say enough about this...but i loved it.

love always,

paul aka...wiz
