I will Always be Near

Contributed by jerseysue on Friday, 23rd June 2006 @ 03:16:21 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

"Do not weep for me " he said,
Do not shed a tear,
For I will be right by your side,
To help you cope my dear,

When you wake up in the morn,
I will bring you the suns bright rays ,
Sent to you from me alone,
To brighten your sad days,

And when you are lonely,
I tell you what I will do,
I'll send you kisses on the wind,
To stop you feeling blue,

And when you see the flowers,
Fresh with morning dew,
These are the tears that I cry,
Because I can't be with you,

And when you walk along the beach,
And waves crash on the shore,
My unseen arms will hold you close,
Just like they did before,

When your body is weary ,
And life is hard it seems,
I will give you the strength and courage,
When I visit you in your dreams,

For I am not far away,
Though death tore us apart,
I will always be there for you,
For I remain inside your heart.

Sue, this is a very beautiful poem and dedication to your husband. My heart goes out to you in this time of sorrow. I can only pray that you are coping well with your loss. Please stay strong for he will be there for you. Just know that when it is your time to go that he will be waiting there for you. With God’s blessings may he watch over you and protect you.

This a very good poem. Wow, I really liked it. Everything was there, emotion, and mechanics. When the heart mixes correctly with the words it's magic and this truly is beautiful. I'm glad to have shared some words with you even if in poem form.

Ever since I've begun interacting with you I've had this question why you had such a great big heart. Now I know why. This is a wonderful tribute to your husband and explains the source of your strength and courage. Good work, Brit.

Very beautiful and heart warming. I love the way you wrote it from his perspective.

I am glad you shared this with us. I feel he is watching over you.

My Dad died when I was eight and I feel he still watches over me and that it can happen.

Thank you,

Tim

Wow, what a fantasic poem,
it really shows your emotions and it was probably hard for you to put something like this, so deep in words. I'm really sorry for your lost, but like he said he would be looking down on you and making you smile from up above and i'm sure he is.

Best wishes,
~*Eve*~

Sue,

It makes me feel so warm inside to read your words...
As you know I have had a very bad week with my
Grandpops passing and my daughter turning 16 I
haven't really been able to think straight.. These
words made me realize that our loved ones
are in our hearts and minds and therefore never
gone...

Ty for smacking me in the face and waking me up...

Your friend for life
Bill
